This section is intended to provide an overview of the topic of asexuality for teachers, counselors, and others in the education field, particularly those who are involved in sexuality and health education.

Asexuality is a sexual orientation.  Unfortunately, it is not well known.  It is ignored by many sex ed courses, leaving many asexual students feeling lost, confused, or broken.  For this reason, it is imperative that asexuality be introduced into sexual education programs in schools.
